The Jewish Home has a large and attractive campus, which offers residents high-quality activities, programs and medical services. But the Home serves the larger community as well, as an integral part of a continuum of care throughout the Bay Area.
Taube-Koret Campus for Jewish Life
The Taube-Koret Campus for Jewish Life (TKCJL) is a collaborative initiative founded and developed by the Jewish Home in San Francisco, the Albert L. Schultz Jewish Community Center of Palo Alto (JCC), the Jewish Community Federation (JCF), and local community leaders.
The purpose of the Taube-Koret Campus for Jewish Life is to strengthen and enhance Jewish community life on the South Peninsula by supporting the development of a multi-purpose, intergenerational Jewish campus. TKCJL will be located on an eight-acre site at 901 San Antonio Road in Palo Alto. When completed, it will become the permanent home for various levels of independent and assisted living residences for older adults, developed by the Jewish Home; a new JCC; regional headquarters for JCF; and offices for other non-profits serving the Jewish community.
Menorah Park
Residents of Menorah Park, a subsidized housing community in San Francisco,
also benefit from the Jewish Home’s medical expertise. The Home’s
nurse practitioners and physician’s assistant coordinate care, perform
physicals and TB tests, train staff in assessment, and review medication
for Menorah Park residents participating in the Health Corner program, made
possible with a grant from the Jewish Community Endowment Newhouse Fund.
Rhoda Goldman Plaza
The Jewish Home’s medical team provides services to residents of Rhoda Goldman Plaza, an assisted living community with 155 units, located in San Francisco. The Home’s director of Medical Services serves as a consultant to staff, and one of the Home’s primary care physicians spends one day a week at Rhoda Goldman Plaza assessing residents, ordering tests and coordinating medications and services.
If a Goldman Plaza resident requires more intensive medical services, this
collaboration allows for a smooth transition into the Jewish Home. Through
this coordinated care effort, the Home ensures that seniors are able to live
within the general community for a longer period.
